the Scottish Gemmological Association
Membership for 2018
Our 2019 Membership Subscription is £30 - a bargain! And Student Membership is £15.
We welcome new members to the Association.
Membership is open to all with an interest in gemmology and who share the aims of the Association to promote interest in, and the study of, gemmology in Scotland
Our meetings, conferences and other events are open to members and their guests. We have several evening meetings through the year, most of which are open to anyone else who wishes to attend. If you are interested in coming along, you will be made welcome and your first meeting will be free. Thereafter you can pay by the meeting, currently £5.00, or £2.00 for a student, or join the Association. Each year we do have one or two workshops which are restricted by numbers. In these cases, a place must be reserved in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Membership requires a subscription of £30.00 for ordinary members and £15.00 for a student attending full-time education.
An SGA member is entitled to a substantial discount to the delegate fee for our annual conference and also free attendance at our regular evening meetings
If you have attended an event run by the SGA before, then you don't need to support your application. If you have never attended any kind of event before then you should fill in the form and either, get support from two existing members or, alternatively, if that is not possible, state your reasons for joining.
Every application will require approval from the Executive Committee of the SGA and the Committee reserve the right to reject an unsuitable application, where appropriate.
Alternatively, you can contact our Membership Secretary, Katie Innes on email@example.com
